Training and Experience

I trained as a Humanistic Counsellor at the Metanoia Institute, bringing with me a background in people-focused roles from within the business and not-for-profit world.

My counselling experience includes working in private practice and the NHS, offering support for general anxiety, depression, OCD and bereavement alongside Employee Assistance support. I also volunteer at a bereavement service.

I offer support to individuals who are looking to untangle their emotions and patterns of being that get in the way of living a fulfilling life.

Who I work with

If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, family challenges, bereavement and loss, employment issues, or relationship difficulties, you don’t have to face it alone — my support is available.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about the incredible capacity people have to grow, heal, and move forward — even in the face of difficult personal and professional challenges. With the right support and encouragement, positive change is always possible.

How I work

I offer both short and long-term counselling, in person or online, tailored to your unique needs.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. Together, we can make sense of your feelings and take the first step toward moving forward.

My counselling practice is client-centred, which means we work together focusing on your goals and progress at a pace that feels right for you.

As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Having worked both in the NHS and the private sector, I have experience supporting individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, professional and age backgrounds.

My work with the NHS has included employee assistance support for staff, an area of counselling that compliments my background in HR and employee development.

My work at a bereavement charity has enabled me to build a strong understanding of the impact of loss. Whether loss is personal or professional loss, recent or in the distant past, there is a power in working through in order to move forward.

My sessions last 50 minutes and are generally held weekly.

In-person sessions are held in Surbiton and Hinchley Wood (near to the local train stations and regular bus services).

Online sessions are also available via Zoom for your convenience.

Fee

I offer a free, confidential initial 15-minute call as an opportunity for you to learn more about my approach and ask any questions you may have. I would want you to feel informed and confident enough to decide if you wish to arrange an initial session.

The initial session provides an opportunity for you to explain your situation, to see if we are a good fit for one another and how therapy feels for you.

We can explore your preferences – face-to-face in-person support, or online alongside timing/frequency and working alliance; there is, however, no pressure to begin regular therapy beyond this point.

If you decide to take up regular therapy following our initial session, we would generally meet for 50-minutes on a weekly basis, with a review after the first few sessions to discuss how you are finding our work together and agree next steps.

My fee is £60 per session.
