Hayley Manning

About me:
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor from the well-respected Metanoia Institute in Ealing, London. I trained in an integrative approach, using Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis in my work with clients. I work in a trauma informed way, combining elements of mindfulness and self-compassionate theories. My work is always relational, which means I believe that our therapeutic relationship is the basis for all healing.

How I work:
From a place of compassion and empathy, I offer a warm welcome and safe environment to explore the issues that are causing you distress. We can work either in-person or online.

I want to know your story. Who are you and how do you view the world? I want to know how you make meaning of your experiences and how this impacts you right now. Often my work will be to help you recognise your resilience (even in those times when you were at your lowest, resilience was there in some form to bring you here, now) and to build more.

Our interactions will allow me to see patterns or common themes, that we can then use to inform what you may want to change.

Who I work with:
In my private practice, I see a variety of clients experiencing a range of difficulties. Many come who need help to cope with and understand their depression, anxiety, and/or relationship issues.

I have a lot of experience with bereavement. I have worked with men and women of all ages and backgrounds who have experienced the death of someone close/significant to them. Grief is a cluster of emotions and physical feelings, which can be disorientating, debilitating and disturbing for many people. We will work together to move you through surviving, to thriving, whatever that may mean for you.

I have a particular interest and experience in reproductive, pregnancy and fertility trauma and loss.
