INDIA SUNDERLAND

You may be struggling with something specific that has interrupted your life, or you may be feeling low, angry or anxious. Feeling emotionally overwhelmed can be a lonely place and often it will impact your relationships, work-life and wellbeing.

I believe that counselling can help during these difficult periods; it can offer you a confidential space to explore the strains you are facing, address your current situation and sometimes look back at painful issues from the past and see how they might be limiting you now.

Counselling can be a really difficult process, for some acknowledging that they need counselling is hard, for others the work in the room can be challenging and painful. However it can also be a positive freeing experience that brings about insight and awareness, a change in relationships and a personal sense of being.

Our work together will be held within a mutually respectful relationship and I will offer you a non-judgemental and safe environment as you explore and unpack what’s happening for you.

Over the past few years I have had experience working as a counsellor in a not for profit agency, a GP’s surgery and a public sector workplace. I have worked with the following areas:
Anxiety, depression, childhood abuse, health-anxiety, feeling lost, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, social anxiety, relationship breakdowns, work/career stress, drug addiction, eating disorders and miscarriage.

I have a first class degree in Integrative-Relational counselling and a registered member of the BACP.

I offer both long and short-term counselling on a weekly basis.
